Suryakumar Yadav’s performance against Sri Lanka has earned him accolades from an unlikely superstar, WWE’s Drew McIntire.
After scoring his third T20i ton in six months, the WWE superstar tweeted that Yadav was a machine.
“This is the third T20i ton in six months. SKY is an incredible machine!” McIntire took to Twitter.
Yadav, nicknamed ‘SKY,’ struck a century off 45 deliveries to help India defeat Sri Lanka in the third T20 international and win the three-match series 2-1.
SKY concluded undefeated on 112* off 51 deliveries, slamming nine sixes and seven fours in his match-winning performance, the second-fastest ton by an Indian hitter in men’s T20Is after Rohit Sharma’s 35-ball effort against the same opposing country in 2017.
McIntyre is a two-time WWE Champion, a one-time WWE Intercontinental Champion, a one-time NXT Champion, and a two-time WWE (Raw) Tag Team Champion, as well as the 2020 Slammy Award winner for Superstar of the Year.
Outside of WWE, he wrestled as Drew Galloway from 2001 to 2007 and again from 2014 to 2017, most notably with Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA), where he was a one-time TNA World Heavyweight Champion and an Impact Grand Champion.
He’s also a two-time ICW World Heavyweight Champion, one-time Evolve Champion, one-time Open the Freedom Gate Champion, two-time Evolve Tag Team Champion, and one-time WCPW Champion.
