The United States said Thursday that a Russian oligarch’s super-yacht has been seized in Fiji, only days after a judge on the country’s highest court agreed American officials could confiscate the vessel, which arrived in Fiji in April.

Suleiman Kerimov, a Putin loyalist, has already been sanctioned by the US for alleged money laundering.

The judge halted the seizure until Friday local time, giving the defense time to file a challenge. By Friday in Fiji, US officials said Fijian police had executed a search warrant on the $325 million boat, freezing it and preventing it from leaving the country at the request of the US.
